Melbourne Liverpool Supporters Association

The Melbourne Liverpool Supporters Association Inc. (MLSA) is Melbourne's Official Liverpool Supporters Club Branch - which first came into existence in almost the immediate aftermath of that amazing night in Istanbul - where Liverpool claimed their fifth European Cup against AC Milan.

After witnessing the incredible mass support for the club here in Melbourne during an informal gathering of Liverpool fans for the 2005 UEFA Champions League Final (at a local Irish pub in Melbourne's central business district, where some 400 die hard supporters attended), a number of locally based fans and volunteers decided to create an organised group - where passionate supporters could frequent, and meet others with a similar love for Liverpool Football Club.

And so, the Melbourne Liverpool Supporters Association was established.

Liverpool Football Club elevated the Melbourne Liverpool Supporters Association (MLSA) to Official LFC Supporters Club (OLSC) status on February 18, 2013.

The main objectives of the supporters club are as follows:

  • to unite Liverpool supporters from the City and Greater Melbourne
  • to provide its members with a central venue for the viewing of televised LFC matches in a safe, and inclusive environment
  • to provide its members with important branch information, including that supplied directly from Liverpool Football Club
  • to organise club themed events and competitions for members
  • to assist fans traveling to Anfield for matches in future (where possible, via the OLSC group booking scheme)

The MLSA has a formal agreement with the The Imperial Hotel on Bourke Street, City - where club events are held, and all televised Liverpool FC matches are shown.

Location:
The Imperial Hotel
2-8 Bourke Street (Cnr Spring & Bourke Streets), City.

The Imperial Hotel also acts as a solid base of operations for the MLSA, hosting regular committee meetings and members’ forums.

At each event, where a televised match is shown, competitions are often held for patrons, as well as fundraising activities to either aid the group, or a particular charity (such as the Hillsborough Justice Campaign, where the club has donated proceeds from members in the past).

Updates on the supporters club and its events are sent to members via an online mailing list, posted on the long running and award winning website, The L Files and via our own social media accounts on both Facebook and Twitter (@LFCMelbourne).

The Melbourne Liverpool Supporters Association provides an excellent way of meeting fellow supporters from across the City, who are just as devoted in following Liverpool Football Club.
